John S. Wilmington III “Papa John”

Nā Kai `Ewalu proudly sponsors the “John Wilmington III Regatta”. In 1987 the club decided to honor Papa John while he was still alive by naming our regatta after him. Papa John, as he was affectionately called was a founding member and our outstanding treasurer for 20 years.

The day starts with the opening ceremony at 7:30 a.m. and the first event is at 8:00 a.m. The last race usually ends around 5:00 p.m. We hold a Bake Sale, Silent Auction, have Food Booths and Trucks, Native Hawaiian Plant Sale, Massages, Craft and Vendor Booths.

If you would like to donate for our silent auction or be a vendor, please contact us.

This regatta is at Ho`aloha Park, Kahului Harbor.
